Critically Overdraft Basins identified by the CA Department of Water Resources in 2016 across the San Joaquin Valley.

DWR undertook a statewide assessment of groundwater basin overdraft conditions in 2015 to update the 1980 list of basins subject to critical conditions of overdraft. The assessment was based on readily available information on groundwater conditions and observed effects of overdraft
